Who we are

What this policy covers

This policy covers the marketing site, the waitlist form, and the optional founding-member deposit. It does not describe a live texting product, because that product is not connected to customer lines yet. When caller texting launches, we will update this page before the first text goes out.

Information you give us

The waitlist form asks for:

• Your name
• Business name
• Email
• Phone
• Trade
• City and state
• About how many inbound calls you get per week
• Whether you agreed we may contact you about the signup

If you pay the optional deposit, PayPal processes the payment. We store the PayPal order id, the amount, and whether we were able to re-check the order on our server. We do not collect or store card numbers on this site.

How we use it

• To contact you about launch, setup, and the founding offer you asked about.
• To understand which trades and call volumes are on the list.
• To match a refund request to a PayPal order id.
• To keep the site and the form working and to block obvious spam.

We do not sell the list. We do not use it to text your customers.

Texts and calls

The checkbox on the form is consent for us to email or call you about your signup. It is not consent for marketing texts to your customers. If we text you about the signup, the message will identify PlumbPing and include a STOP opt-out.

The product we intend to launch texts only the person who called the business and missed a person. Those texts will identify the business and include STOP. We do not buy lead lists. That behavior is not live in this phase.

Who else handles it

• The site is built to run on Vercel. Pages and form submissions pass through that host.
• Signups are stored in a local SQLite file in development. If SUPABASE_URL and a Supabase key are set, they are stored in Supabase instead. See the table schema in the repository.
• PayPal processes the deposit if you choose to pay it and checkout is turned on.

This phase does not include a marketing-analytics tracker. If we add one, we will say so here before it runs.

Cookies

The site itself does not set an analytics cookie. PayPal’s checkout script can set cookies if you load the deposit button. Hosting providers may keep standard server logs, including IP address, for security.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist records until you ask us to delete them, or until we no longer need them to run the founding launch and meet tax or accounting duties for a deposit. Email hello@plumbping.com to ask for a copy or deletion. We may keep a record of a payment if we have to show that a refund was made.

Children

This site is for business owners. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We will change the “last updated” date when this page changes. If a change is material to people already on the list, we will email them.
